We had two weeks of speech camps that were awesome! One of the younger campers told his mother that it was "bouncy castle" camp! Kids left with a smile on their faces and eagerly came back to camp day after day. Traci Andrews (SLP) led the camps and helped the children with articulation and language through the use of games, crafts, singing, and gross motor activities. My son was a camper in one of the speech camps and he is still wanting to play picture hid and seek. When he finds the flower picture , he actually remembers to say "flower" and not "fower". I am a happy client!
We just finished our first week of camp and it was such fun! The camp was "Fine Motor Madness" and we had a morning full of gross motor and fine motor activities led by occupational therapists. All campers but one gave us a score of "10", and one camper gave us a "6" and said it would have been a "10" if we had allowed a competitive soccer match (the world cup has everyone excited...).
We have added another "Fine Motor Madness" Camp in August for those that didn't get to sign up for the first one.
Check out our new video of Learning Charms that includes footage of the camp.
