Over the weekend I went to Handwriting Without Tear's Print Tool workshop. I attended in order to learn how to administer and interpret this tool to kids who are having handwriting difficulty. It also is one of the only tools to help OT's get a baseline of the 7 different fundamental handwriting skills and therefore effectively remediate weak areas. I am now finished with all classes to become a Level I Handwriting Specialist. Although I can probably be considered a handwriting specialist without the certification, it shows that I am committed to helping kids with handwriting and staying current on information and protocols.
